The nine yanas—or vehicles—of Buddhism are the approach to escaping for the tyranny of duality and discovering our natural state of realization.

Ngakma Shardröl will speak of compassion as the central theme in each of the nine yanas –in a way that reveals the nature of compassion as the infinitely rich and subtle dynamic of our being. Compassion is more than just kind-heartedness or the wish to liberate all beings – but a dynamic view of reality in which spontaneous wisdom and compassion is expressed in every moment. Ngakma Shardröl will discuss the nine yanas as a form of developmental spiritual psychology and how the differing role of the Lama in each yana facilitates our understanding and realization of our nondual nature.

Ngakma Shardröl will teach the Four Naljors – the ngöndro of Dzogchen sem-de – a simple yet radical approach to discovering our own compassionate being.
