What is the purpose of "meditation"? What happens when we sit still with our eyes half closed and let go of my thoughts and feelings? How does it feel when the energy that drives us relaxes into its natural state?

Our thoughts and emotions, like clouds, can temporarily obscure the sky of our awareness, but they have no lasting impact on the spatial nature of our mind. If we allow our awareness to sparkle through the veils of our neurotic behavior patterns and preconceptions, we can explore the open space in which wind and weather arise and dissolve. We develop wisdom and compassion to cooperate with the nature of reality beyond hope and fear.

The online sessions build on the book "Roaring Silence" by Ngak’chang Rinpoche and Khandro Déchen (see http://arobuddhism.org/books/roaring-silence.html).

The book is warmly recommended as accompanying reading. The evenings offer the opportunity to ask questions about the book and to deepen the understanding that emerges from lecture and study in practice.
