Friday evening will include the history of the Mother Essence Lineage, and instruction on the practices of Dream Yoga (mi-lam) from the six yogas of Niguma and Vajra Posture from Khyungchen Aro Lingma.

Saturday will include instruction on Four Naljor silent sitting meditation practice, the Lama Naljor (Guru Yoga) of Ma-Çig Labdrön, the Awareness Spell (Mantra) of Yeshé Tsogyel, and the Long Life practice of Padmasambhava and Mandarava. There will be teaching on the role of the Vajra Master in Tantra and Dzogchen and why female teachers are critical to the future of Buddhist Vajrayana.
On Saturday evening retreat attendees are welcome to join Ngakpa Namgyal & local sangha for informal conversation and an evening meal.

Sunday morning will begin with instruction on the Waning Moon cycle of meditation practice, providing a complete daily practice schedule. The weekend will conclude with a Refuge Ceremony.

Ngakpa Namgyal took vajrayana ordination in 2000 and with his wife Ngakma Shé-zér he has been teaching for a over a decade in Britain, Hungary and Scandinavia. As parents of two young children they are inspirations for the practice of Living the View, combining their teaching programme with ordinary working family life.

All Aro gTer retreats are non-smoking events. Smokers are welcome to attend, but in accordance with Nyingma teaching, and Vajrayana Buddhism in general, we require participants to desist from the smoking of tobacco for the entire duration of the retreat – both on or off the premises where retreats are held. Tobacco in any form should not be brought to the retreat.
